FPC Niles Flood Response

Here’s a recent project I worked on, doing both videography and editing for a video intended to elicit donations and volunteers to help out with continuing efforts to support those affected by a recent flood in the area of Niles, MI. I’ve pulled out the contact info for this version, but otherwise, it’s essentially what was delivered to the client. What was originally expected to be a short project ended up taking about 12 hours

Symphony of Peace Prayers

Just finished editing and uploading a video which used a new piece of equipment — a Flycam stabilizer.  This is a “steadi-cam” type of tool, which helps to keep the camera steady when moving around. Since this was my first time using it, I wasn’t as steady with it as I’d like, so I also ran the footage through a piece of stabilizing software — Mercalli V4.  This was a nice combination, and one I’ll

Advanced Harmonic Prayer

Six years ago, in 2012, after coming home from a trip to Hawaii, I was inspired to write a new book called “Harmonic Prayer“.  This was 4 years after writing my “Choose To Believe” book, and I felt this would give folks a ‘shortcut’ to shifting the beliefs required to manifest their desires. I still feel that a process of prayer can be one of the best ways to shift our beliefs so they may

What Being Open to Receive Actually Means

Over the last few weeks, I’ve gotten sucked into a whole new world of information after one of my readers suggested I check out Neville Goddard. Neville is quite an interesting fellow. You really should check out his stuff. There are a BUNCH of YouTube videos, although they tend to be audio recordings with a static image. Some are Neville speaking, and others are folks reading from the written material.  I like the ones featuring

Exploring New Storage Options

My last post was focused on backups, and my work on this has uncovered a few more details which has caused me to expand the project into the core storage used for my main data as well. Specifically, I’ve just converted (2) 4TB hard drives into a single RAID-0 striped storage volume.  While most folks do this simply to get faster access to their data, and this was one of the reasons for my doing

Upgrading my Backup Strategy

As an online publisher, I collect a fair amount of data over time, although it is nothing compared to the data collected from my photography / videography activities. After 15 years of producing books, audio recordings, and a few videos, I can fit everything (including educational and software downloads) onto a 500GB hard drive, which is super-simple to back up for secure storage. In just 5 years of photography & videography, I’ve already amassed well

DVX200 Flexibility

While this video is relatively simple, and the audio isn’t the greatest, I’m adding it to my video portfolio for a couple of reasons. First, it highlights the flexibility of the new DVX200 I bought a few months ago. For whatever reason, I wasn’t happy with the default color matrix, as many skin tones turned out a bit too yellow for my tastes.  From what I read online, this was a problem with earlier firmware

How to Manifest Money

I’d like to take today and answer a few of the questions that have been coming in lately. As usual, there have been several questions around money, such as how to manifest a consistent income, or a lucrative career. Manifesting money is the same as manifesting anything else. The core process starts off with making a strong connection to the Divine, which means to relax as deeply as you can, and allow yourself to feel

Tibetan Singing Bowls Concert

I was recently asked to record a concert given at the Coptic Center I’ve been working with a lot lately.  The concert was performed by Mark Handler, who may be found at http://www.tibetanbowls.org. There were a couple of challenges in getting a good recording.  While the audio portion was relatively easy — a generally quiet audience and relatively loud sound source — most of the light came from the windows BEHIND the performer.  Luckily, I

Moving Forward Into A New Life

A few weeks ago, I posted a series of articles on what I would do if I had lost my present online business, and just last week, I posted an article about dealing with loss.  Seems to be a pattern here. Some of my readers may wonder why I’m focused on this topic.  Simple.  My mom recently lost a life-long friend, so the topic has come up in my life. Recovering from loss is one
