What Being Open to Receive Actually Means

Over the last few weeks, I’ve gotten sucked into a whole new world of information after one of my readers suggested I check out Neville Goddard.

Neville is quite an interesting fellow.

You really should check out his stuff.

There are a BUNCH of YouTube videos, although they tend to be audio recordings with a static image.

Some are Neville speaking, and others are folks reading from the written material.  I like the ones featuring Neville himself.

This link will pull up many of them:

You can also find a number of low-cost Kindle ebooks containing his wisdom:

Even after all the many hours I’ve spent reading and listening to this man, I know there’s still much to learn.

However, I feel that the core of his teaching revolve around one simple idea, an idea I’ve shared with you many times.

  • If you believe you can do it, you can.
  • If you believe you can manifest something using nothing more than your imagination, you can.
  • If you believe you can get great results following your heart and doing what makes you happy, you can.
  • If you believe you can ______, you can.

The reason you can is because the essence of the Divine is at the core of your being, and the process of assuming that what you want is now real and waiting for you CREATES it into reality.

It may happen right away, or it may take time before it shows up.  How long it takes depends on how strongly you believe.

Once you imagine what you want and trust that it is now coming to you, your work is done.  The only thing you must do is to follow your intuition and act as if what you want is current reality.

Now, our logical, but limited, human consciousness doesn’t always accept this idea.

Our minds will often tell us that we must wait until we see evidence that the manifestation has happened before we can truly take action.

What about all those people who thought they could fly, until they hit the pavement?

Very good question.

To be honest, I’m still working on an equally-good answer.

The best I can come up with at this point is what I wrote about in my Choose To Believe book.

Multiple levels of belief, with some levels more powerful (more influential) than others.

Believing you can fly may be either a surface belief or a self-image belief.

Believing in the law of gravity is a universal belief (meaning we believe it to be true everywhere at all times), which is more powerful than either surface or self-image beliefs.

It’s the same reason we sometimes believe we’re going to get a particular job, or be accepted by a particular person, and then experience rejection.

If we also believe that we don’t always get what we want, or that disappointment is normal, or we don’t quite measure up to some standard, these beliefs will counter-act a belief that a particular situation will produce a particular result.

I don’t focus on the individual beliefs involved in a manifestation project as much as I used to.

One of the reasons is because the process of relaxing, imagining what you want in intense vivid detail, with strong positive feelings, and doing your best to trust the process, if practiced consistently, will shift all beliefs involved so they line up with your desired outcome.

This process is essentially what Neville calls “living in the end”.

Those who have gone through my new 30 Days to Divine Power e-course know that once you put your whole self into this process, the only thing left to do is to start watching for the manifestation.

And while you’re watching for it, your mental attitude is one of “I have already created my desired end result.  Is NOW the time I notice/find my new creation?”

And if not, then maybe it’s the next moment.

Or maybe the following one.  Or the next.

This is what’s known as being open to receive.

Being open to receive isn’t the same as choosing not to reject something that may or may not happen.  You have to EXPECT it to happen.  And soon.

We never know when it’s going to happen, but happen it will.  As long as we trust.

BTW – if you haven’t yet gone through the new 30-day e-course, what are you waiting for?

You get to go through the entire 30-day program, and only when you’re done and feel it has helped, then YOU get to decide what it was worth to you.

That’s right.  If it doesn’t help, there’s no obligation to pay anything for it.

And if you can only afford to pay $10 or $20, that’s okay too.

Most folks tend to pay around $45 for it, with a few that have paid over $100.

You can sign up for it here:
30 Days to Divine Power

And if you’ve already gone through the course and haven’t yet made a payment for it, you can do that here:
Payment form for 30 Days to Divine Power

Just one more thing.

While this new 30-day e-course can have a profound effect on your life in the short time it takes to go through it, you can amplify the results by going through it multiple times.

Do it for a month, take some time off, then go through it again.  You’ll find that you get additional benefits the 2nd time through.

That’s it for now.

Wishing you the best of all good things.
