Life Lessons from an Internet Business Course
For all those who want (or need) to make more money this year, I’d like to introduce you to Terry Dean’s new course, the “Internet Lifestyle System“.
BTW, I’ve purchased my own copy of the course, and have watched a few of the 14 hours of videos in the 8 separate modules.
WOW! I wish I had this course when I first started! Even with my 13 years of experience online, I STILL learned 2 new (and valuable) things in the first 20 minutes!
Okay, I want to make this post informative for everyone, not just those interested in starting an online business.
So I’m going to point out where some of Terry’s lessons can be used in non-business situations.
Module 1 of Terry’s new course talks about picking a topic for your business, and guides you to find a niche you’ll enjoy, where people spend money on a regular basis.
In a dating situation, this would be equivalent to going to places where you’re likely to meet other singles who want to find a partner. Pretty obvious, but a lot of folks hear the business advice of “follow your passion”, and go into markets where people don’t spend much money.
I was watching a video the other day where Tellman Knudson talked about how he went after the “barefoot running” crowd and later found out they didn’t buy much online. Too bad he didn’t have Terry’s “Internet Lifestyle System“.
The first video in Module 2 of Terry’s course is about coming up with ideas for products to sell, and this is where I got my 2 new ideas in the first 20 minutes. The “life lesson” here is to see what’s working for others and model what they’re doing rather than trying to figure it all out on your own.
Terry offers a number of examples of how to take an idea that works in one area and applying it in another. Much like I’m doing now with the “life lessons from a business course” theme.
There was once a joke that you could tell the trailblazers from the arrows in their backs. Testing new ideas takes a lot of work, and is fraught with failure. Following a proven system is a lot easier and a lot more fun.
I could go on through the whole 8 module system, but I think this post has gotten long enough.
The big lesson in today’s post is simple.
Set yourself up for success by modelling what already works.
And if you have any interest in having an online business, get Terry’s new “Internet Lifestyle System“. It will give you a great head start on your new venture.
