How to Overcome Inner Resistance
Today, I’m going to answer another submitted question, “How can I overcome my inner resistance?”
Actually, this is a summary of several questions, which asked about overcoming procrastination, doubt, and remembering to do manifestation work on a regular basis.
One of the most common reasons for such resistance is simply habit. If you have an ingrained habit to do things in a particular way, it takes more effort to do things in a different way.
The only solution to this is to take time to consciously choose to do things in the new way, and eventually you’ll change the habit.
This is why I often suggest you take 15 minutes a day to consciously focus on manifesting.
It’s an act of willpower. The more willpower you have, the easier it is to change your habits.
Practice, practice, practice.
The other main reason people encounter inner resistance is due to a lack of belief.
Look at it this way, if you KNEW that going into a particular building and reciting a series of prescribed statements would guarantee someone would give you a check for a million dollars, you’d do it, right?
The only reasons you wouldn’t would be if you didn’t want the money, or if you didn’t believe it would actually work.
There are 2 solutions to this problem.
First, hearing about the success of others who used the processes will build within you a belief that the processes work. This is why I’ll often share with you stories of how I used the processes, and the results that manifested.
Second, using affirmations, visualization, and other belief-enhancing techniques can be used to build your belief in the processes themselves, although it’s often better to focus on building your belief in Universal Power and your ability to control it and manifest your desires.
Again, the more willpower you have, the easier it is to change your beliefs.
The bottom line is that it takes effort to develop the ability to use Power, and the first steps are the hardest.
